I am the founding coordinator of The Afrolutionist, a digital institution that aims to realize inclusive development in Africa and the diaspora through a human rights lens. The Afrolutionist has adopted SDG17 (a goal focusing on the collaboration of all goals to reduce inequalities) and holds space on applied research, forums and documented knowledge sharing in realizing inclusive development.
The Afrolutionist has worked in various collaborative projects including The Afrolutionist Climate Champions (with the British High Commission of Botswana), Women in Farming campaign (through the Letsema Project and FES Botswana), The Botswana Youth Jobs Fair and the Cambridge Climate Lecture Series in Botswana (through collaboration with Climate Tracker)
The Botswana Youth Jobs Fair is a platform for employers, recruiters, service providers and
institutions to meet with prospective unemployed youth looking for jobs or entrepreneurship
opportunities. This is an event in which employers, recruiters or service providers give information
to potential employees or budding entrepreneurs. This job fair will also give unemployed youth
real time training in job readiness as well as employment opportunities, as well as budding youth
entrepreneurs a way to get in contact with service providers in their quest for business
development opportunities.
My role in the Jobs Fair as a co-coordinator focuses on establishing strategic partnerships, resource mobilization and co-developing media strategy.
